We, expats, do not give up easily! We are used to fighting for ourselves and our dreams. WE ARE SHOCK RESISTANT. Therefore, even if we have weaker moments collapsed completely, we finally pick up the gauntlet again, take it as a lesson, andget up. We rise like a phoenix from the ashes.
Sometimes we just need someone’s support. No man is an island, entire of itself. We, humans, are social beings, even if we are lone wolves or consider ourselves to be introvert. If we live in isolation and have no one to confide in, we close up, move away, get lost. Sometimes we simply need to be listened to, to express something out loud to find the solution.
Life coach’s task is to serve as your mirror, to listen and to ask powerful questions, so that you can see things from a different perspective. Not to tell you what to do, because you know that yourself, deep down. Coaching journey is about you, your present and your future. As one of my clients said, “coaching is talking to yourself, while being moderated by someone who asks important questions, provoking your reflection and motivating you to change.”
Everything in life eventually passes, and so will your current problem or loss. You just need to find the courage to get out of your comfort zone, to scrape off the layers of old habits and limiting beliefs and open up to the world again. And, above all, to yourself.
