Why does consistency with values pay off at work?
One of my clients, let's call her Alex, showed up completely wrecked in the session. She had just been transferred to another department in a large company. Nothing that awaited her there looked right. It was not a place to develop further, it did not meet her ambitions, the team composition and the new position assigned to her did not suit her.
10 ways to build your confidence at work
It is estimated that roughly 85% of people worldwide (adults and adolescents) have low self-esteem. Statistics show that almost 60% of men and 2/3 of women are not confident in their ability to do their job!
Five things that build courage in your life.
When Volodymyr Zelensky, an actor and comedian, became the President of Ukraine three years ago, not many believed in him. Today, he has grown up to be the leader of his brave countrymen and a hero for millions of people watching his actions from abroad.
Have you ever thought what your life mission is?
“Life mission” sounds lofty, I admit. Not many people think about their life mission in a constructive way. Why is that? Because, most probably, they do not believe they have one. Many of us keep asking instead: what is the sense of my existence, of my being on earth? And it is not a pleasant consideration. Because life without a mission looks empty and pointless.
The more you change, the more your confidence grows.
Are you open to change? Do you remember the last time you changed something significant in your personal or working life? Or maybe something small, but still important for you? Was this change a part of your plan? Or did it come without your control? Did you feel satisfied and enriched, or lost and unhappy?
Research says we make 35 000 decisions per day, but how many of them are conscious? 🤔
The more conscious your life is, the better. When you make choices, you get a sense of ability, your strength grows, your self-esteem increases. I do this and that because it is what I want. Because it's good for me. Because when I am aware of my actions, I can live a better life. By making conscious decisions, I set my boundaries and gain people’s respect. This, in turn, translates into my openness to others, better relationships, and results at work.
